Iverson Dental Labs offers mouthguards and splints for all of your patient’s oral care needs. Mouth guards are important for athletes to prevent and reduce injury to the teeth, arches, lips and gums acting as a barrier from harmful impacts. Mouth guards must be precisely fitted to the patient in order to receive the maximum protection for their teeth. For a personalized touch ask about our colored mouth guards.
Dental Splints/Stents or night guards were developed for patients suffering from bruxism, grinding or clenching of the teeth. A splint allows the periodontal ligament muscle to be in a relaxed position so the patient doesn’t experience muscle spasms during the night, which causes clenching and grinding of the teeth. There are various forms of splints to help alleviate symptoms of bruxism. In some cases patients may have severe migraines caused by bruxism. The type of splint used is dependent on the diagnosis. Night guards were originally used for protecting the mouth region but they also are commonly used for bleaching trays.
